Sustainable Processing with allsort®

With state-of-the-art X-ray technology, allsort® can separate a wide variety of materials in an environmentally friendly way and process them dry. An X-ray transmission sensor (XRT) detects density differences within the material based on X-ray absorption. Absorption depends on atomic weight and particle thickness. High absorption occurs in elements with high atomic order, while low absorption corresponds to elements with low atomic order. Based on this data, allsort® classifies and sorts each individual particle according to customer-specified criteria.

Thanks to sensor-based sorting, resource utilization can be improved, and energy and water consumption can be significantly reduced. The investment and operating costs are considerably lower than those of wet processing due to the elimination of water handling. Additionally, relative to its sorting capacity, allsort® has a comparatively small footprint overall.

The allsort® XRT sorter already has a wide particle size range. In combination with the allair® air jig, allmineral is the only supplier on the market that covers the complete particle size range from 0 to 120 mm in dry processing. allsort® is suitable for sorting all materials where the substances to be separated as per their difference in density.
