Since 2018, two powerful alljig® jigs at the Uvalnaya mine in Siberia have handled the processing of high-quality bituminous coal to generate products for the global market. Coking coal is enjoying increased demand within the context of pig iron production at integrated smelting works.

Processing of coking coal in chilly Siberia

At the heart of the Kuznetsk Basin coalfield, work on a cutting-edge mine continues apace. With the help of our considerable mining expertise, the aim is to tap into four substantial seams measuring up to 3.5 metres for the production and processing of high-quality coking coal – a product enjoying increased demand from smelting works and large-scale industry around the world.

Maximum efficiency with alljig® jigs

Two alljig® jigs play a key role in efficient processing. Both of these double-cut sub-pulsed machines separate the raw coal into three products: coal, middlings and tailings. While the alljig®-GUB 3000 x 5800 coarse-grain jig ensures reliable separation, concentration and cleaning of up to 280 tons of raw coarse coal (13 to 150 mm) per hour,

the alljig®-FUB 5000 x 5000 fine-grain jig can handle as much as 485 tons of raw fine coal (1 to 13 mm) in this timeframe. The air-pulsed alljig® jigs deliver physically stable operation and enable optimum jig stroke formation with minimum energy consumption. Automatic discharge control is performed by the alljig® systems using sensors whose signals are detected and processed electronically. This makes it possible to discharge the exact amount of heavy feed that enters the jig with the feed material.

Save costs – and the environment

Suitable for easy operation and maintenance, alljig® jigs are used in additional settings beyond coal mines. These energy-saving systems are also the first choice for the reliable sorting of primary and secondary raw and waste materials featuring different densities.

Iron ore processing with alljig®

In the south-east of Australia, alljig® jigs boasting low energy, operating and investment costs are hard at work improving the quality of iron ore. This innovative system, which was adapted to suit the new conditions at the Iron Baron Mine, represents a major triumph for allmineral and SIMEC Mining alike.

High-quality gravel with alljig®

Kieswerke Ohle & Lau GmbH, located in the south-east of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, is one of allmineral’s longest-serving customers. For more than 25 years, an air-pulsed alljig® gravel jig has been deployed here to ensure reliable and efficient processing of this raw material for the creation of maximum-purity gravel. Capable of extremely precise adjustment, this jig is guaranteed to separate out any components that react with alkalis.
